I'm thinking of making it non-commercial as I want everyone to enjoy this great epic. Story The game will be divided into three chapters. The Sword of Ages- All Eric ever dreamed of was adventure. But when is little brother is killed by the forces of the Goblin Queen, is he ready. He goes to ask the king for help, but the king needs help of his own. It is believed that Xanabros, God of Evil who was sealed over a millennium ago by the great Queen Ebechet, is returning, so Eric goes on a quest to find the Sword of Ages, the only sword that might be the only thing that can defeat him. The Forgotten King- To buy more time for his resurrection, Xanabros hatches a plan. The Dark King, possessed by the Lord of Nightmares is resurrected with his dragon, Scherazade. Eric must find a way to defeat the Dark King and permanently vanquish the Lord of Nightmares. He'll have to travel to the forgotten lands of Elduar to find out how. Legends-Eric completes his quest to defeat Xanabros and the Goblin Queen. Along the way, he finds that the history of his race is far more complicated than he ever imagined. Settings The great world of Ellysia is divided between three lands, Arconia, Elduar, and New Terra City. Arconia is where most of the action takes place. It is a land inhabitated primarily by orcs, goblins, elves, dark elves, and humans. Elduar is the original home of the elves. It is a land believed by most Arconians to be a myth. It is inhabitated primarily by humans, high elves, giants, and dwarves. New Terra City is a land that most in the world doesn't even know exist. It also contains the secrets to the true origins of the human race. History Once, millenia and millenia ago, there was no Ellysia. Only the infinite reaches of the sky and Uminos and his four children. They stood one day in this void and decided they would create the world. Avari created the land while Tanami filled the deep places with water. Coviyo created the heat inside the ground and the weather of the world while Zeryx created the air inside the world to counter Coviyo's heat. They looked upon their creation with pride. "But", Uminos said in his infinite wisdom, "something is missing." So he created life, the elves and the dwarves, and all was good. The elves lived in the forests and the dwarves in the mountains. Soon the dwarves got greedy and decided they wanted more land. They proceeded to claim the Great Plains for their own, a sacrilege act, for the Sovereign Plains is where the gods first stood upon Ellysia, thus their name. This angered the elves and a great war erupted. The First War, it was called. In the war, the dwarves were driven almost to extinction. This saddened the gods. So, finally, after Uminos pleaded with Sylvanas, the first elf, the elves ended the war and allowed the now greatly decreased dwarven numbers return to the mountains. From that point on, dwarves were rarely seen again. Peace held for many centuries. Then one day, humans came from the ocean, and took their first steps onto Ellysia. They were attacked by the Dark Races and one of their own foolishly decided to become king of Ellysia. One human pleaded the elves for help, an honorable woman, Paula Dawson. Thus the elves did answer. The dark king was sealed in his castle and the dark races scattered. But humans began multiplying at an alarming rate, and with such short life spans, according to the elves, it was almost like an infestation. They began building on the Sovereign Plains, chopping down trees, until the Forest slowly receded til the Sovereign River became the permanent border between the Endless Forest and the Sovereign Plains. This sparked a century long war between humans and elves. Even thought they were far outnumbered, the elves believed they must preserve the land of the Gods. Then, the elves found out that humans could use magic like them. Not the barbarians they thought humans to be, for use of magic requires great mental prowess, they called a cease-fire and held a meeting. A year later, the Galeshi School of Magical Arts was constructed right where that meeting took place. As the years went by, Caero grew around it and is the only elf-human thriving city. Not long after the truce, a woman appeared from the wandering nomads of the Koboyashi Desert. She approached the elves and declared she had been contacted by Uminos, the All-God himself, to unify the land under one banner, thus was she made Queen, the first ruler, of Arconia. For thirty years she ruled in peace. But, as in all things, peace never lasts. Xanabros, god of evil, appeared and brought darkness to the land. He invaded Silver City, her kingdom, and attacked the queen herself, for as in all things, chop off the head, and the rest falls. But she did not go down alone. With the last of her strength, and her last breath, she used his own sword to trap him in her throne room. Legends say that her four commanders seperated and formed the four Tribes and the land was consumed in darkness. One thousand years later, Nicholas the Great appeared, and with his bravery, repelled the darkness and built Silvertown, the new throne of Arconia. But, five years later, he was betrayed by his most loyal advisor and was slain with a poisonous blade. Orvo the Dark brought darkness back to the land and ruled with an iron fist. One thing he did not count on; Joseph the Strong returned from his quest to help the elves fell Scherezade, the dark queen of the dragons. With his alliance with the elves, he was able to defeat Orvo and become the new, and current, king of Arconia. Races Humans-Elves say they came from the ocean. What is the secret of the human race? Elves-Think of themselves as higher beings to all races. Willing to tolerate them. Giants-Thought extinct in the main part of Arconia, giants are a peaceful race but can be violent when provoked. Dwarves-Thought extinct since the Great War. Dwarves are a sturdy lot that love to fight. Dark Elves-The underground brethren of elves. Violent and murderous. they will even sacrifice their own for rituals or food, if necessary. Goblins-Goblins are a mischievous, cowardly lot. they are extremely vicious in large numbers. Orcs-The dark cousins of elves. They will eat anything or anyone. Rakarra-Rat people from under New Terra City. Violent and evil in every way. Or are they? Their names always start with Ra' for what they are. In the middle is their true name. And the last part announces what they are: 'iel-Lord 'ien-Lady 'el-peasant man 'en-peasant woman 'los-soldier 'lo-an officer 'bagi-king 'bagu-queen 'bago-prince 'bage-princess 'arno-general 'cha-merchant Characters Max-Mentor to Eric. He helped co-led the army that took the throne back from Orvo the Dark, along with King James, and Eric's father, Thomas. Eric-Our main protagonist. He's never been out in the world and, because of it, is pretty impulsive. Branor-A warrior of the Fire Tribe. He is currently in his Trial of Manhood. He must live outside the tribe and survive on his own for two years. Rowena-A magic caster who's grandfather runs the Ailons' Academy for Guards. She's a bit spoiled. Linfa-A mysterious youth wanted by the guards in Childerich City. Bernadette-A warrior of honor and virtue. She's a patron of the Church of Uminos and an old flame of Eric's. Shi'am-A half-elf who is appointed by the Elf Lord La'mon to help deal with Xanabros. Or have you not gotten to the point where that's possible yet? Even when I was still making a game with rmxp, people ignored all my recruitment requests. People just don't have the time and don't know you well enough to just suddenly start working on a game with you, sorry :( You'll get a lot more help if you just ask for a few specific things. I have 2 continents, but need 4 maps, and I can't figure out how to do the two all in one map correctly in the map editor.
