This game was made with RPG Maker VX Ace, and I don't want to hear any complaints about it being made in it, for I will find you and slap the skybread out of you, which likely would be very painful, and you don't want that, so don't complain. On a side note, the game contains simulated gambling, virtual alcohol use, drugs (In an educational way to show you what the effects of drugs have), graphic fantasy violence, horror of a disturbing nature, realism, religion, magic, psychedelic scenes, illogical morons, obscure references to sexual themes, Nazi-equivalents, communism, dictatorship, democracy, no black people, pop culture references, and English voice actors. You have been warned... and holy damn when looking at that list I just gave, I'm probably going to trigger someone already. The only reason I have most of the stuff in that game in the first place is to point out how realistic this world is. Besides the magic stuff.
You awake, finding yourself in a deserted cave. Gazing at your surroundings, you can't remember anything. You don't know where you are, where you've been, or where you came from, your identity being a mystery to you. Only having the knowledge of movement, and a basic vocabulary, everything else is new to you. You don't know how to feel, you don't know how to behave, it is like you are a child.
Surrounded by darkness, untouched vegetation, and the presence of the inhabitants of the cave, hearing words of praise, and advice. But ultimately, you are being devoured by the feeling of loneliness.
Then out of nowhere, you are attacked by a seemingly countless mass of troops! All of which, want you dead, and so in retaliation... They seemingly disappear out of nowhere? From what you can gather, it was something you did to them.
What happened there? Why did they disappear? Why are there now many people approaching you? What kind of world is this? Where you can cast weird elements out of your fingertips, where you hear loud clanking sounds, where aggressive tiny creatures try to kill you, and all the other bizarre things you have found in this cave... But as you'll come to find out, this is a world of war, greed, and chaos, with a few people who aspire higher to gain what others only dream of... even if their aspirations will leave destruction on the wakening of their glory.
So, if you understand, this is the story, of Wonder's War. It's about a woman who lost everything, but has no memory of what she once had. Stranded in a world where everybody is fighting off their own wars, while you have to fight all of them. Against the odds no normal human could possibly overcome, you have the power to bring peace, to bring Novus to the land it once was. So as it all starts off, from once upon a day, from once upon a time.
This game takes place in the land of Novus, on the continent of Nova to be exact. On Novus, there are many different races, cultures, religions, technologies, environments, animals, and treasures, which await to be discovered by you, and our protagonist. Though, Novus wasn't always occupied by Humans, it wasn't until recently that Humankind inhabited this land. Although it is quite unknown about how the Human Races of Novus got there, it is quite a story to hear from the ones who do know where all of it came from.
The lands are governed by the Human Races, and to be a Human Race, there needs to be specific qualifications for your race to be one. The general races are the Hibetohl (Humes, Danne, Nozan, Orden, and Orcs), the Allemhire (High Elves, Dark Elves, Blood Elves, Wood Elves, and Celestians), and the Ill'eumin (Saints, Necros, Magiri, Tenno, and Ancients). There are many other races on Novus, but these are the most important ones in terms of bringing a society, hierarchy, and balancing to the word.
And as likely, each place has its own history, for everything is there for a reason, or a purpose. If you dig deep enough into a subject, you might find some story worth of your time to learn about, and how it changed the course of history forever. If you are to explore the world to its fullest, just remember this: The world of Novus is like Earth in a lot of ways, yet as it is, Novus is still far different than Earth...
So to give you ideas, there are some similar things to Earth, but some. Like there are 16 months on Novus (January, Yulenary, February, March, April, Dawn, May, June, July, Ennox, August, Fadust, September, October, November, December.), The year is 2439 A.S. at the start of the game, and no it has nothing to do with A.D. and B.C.E.. And common appliances have completely normal names, like the HV is a Holographicvision which is a box you put on your wall that plays Movies and ComNet Shows. And if you hook up a Console, you can play Visual Games... Like Sons of War II, Date Me Please?, and God of Fate. And yes, food is still the same. You can buy Bagols, Black Fish, Harring, Moosestard, Skybread, Karrots, P-ZA! Puffs!, and Putadohs! Yeah, you know what those are right? Novus is quite like Earth. Mash putadohs up with carbage, add Numum Cheese, and you have yourself a Puta Salad.
Wonder's War was designed to give a different experience when compared to other games. While it may seem like a regular rpg at first, or just a simple RPG Maker game that was made with a lot of time, you then come to see that there is almost more features than I can count to the game. Such as the following:
~Huge battle system which you may customize to your liking with character variety.
~Large interactive environments.
~A large OST created by one person.
~Every graphic created by one person.
~Like 5 friendly ghosts
~A long volley of side quests.
~14+3 Different elements. (+3 being hexes, necromancy, and blood magic)
~A never before seen world.
~Decent to something comedy.
~Lots of monsters.
~Creative bit visuals.
~Like 4 cool ghosts
~No random encounters!! Except in maybe a few places just so that the player can grind levels...
~Slimes, rats, bugs, and bats in the first dungeon.
~A skip-able before game cut-scene.
~A main character who can not English, and is a Space Wizard.
~Kids that can jump-rope for days.
~A list of features that is starting to get progressively worse.
~like 1 chill ghost that is chill
~yeah, a chill ghost, chill right?
~An actually pretty decent gambling system.
~3 Different journey 'stones' in the shape of crystals that might be cliche.
~God damn lizards.
~Quite a really deep world. I'm not joking, I'm not sure where the deepest point physically you can go is.
~You can go deeper than hell, I really don't know where it ends.
~Like, there might be ghosts. I'm not sure.
~And I'm not kidding about the romance, there are at least 2 weddings in the game if you don't count side-quests.

~An attempt to censor swear words to create a kid friendly game, but most of the characters are alcoholics, gamblers, and there is tons of fantasy violence with blood in the game.
~Probably the most unprofessional list of every list to every exist.
~Y'know, Just a Really Nice Story.
When playing the game, there won't be actual tutorials on how to play either than the basic mechanics from a certain stalker. It's up to you to decide how you want to play the game. You can take time and come up with the perfect strategy on how to battle, like you can have the Grey Mage buff up the White and Black Knights, while the Sellsword steals items from the enemy, and heals the party with items.
You are capable to explore every dungeon and find all the awesome loot and secrets that it withholds to the limit of even around the map, for there is a lot of secret stuff in the game, including secret dungeons and hidden bosses. I wonder if you can find it all? The best way to know if you found every place in the game is to check a certain Jukebox in a city called Imperia, if you are missing songs on the jukebox, you haven't found everything in the game. If you do manage to do so, I still will insist that there is more to playing the game, since every choice in the game has a value, and I'm not saying it lightly. You can get a whole different ending to the game because you failed to cook some Puta Salad... okay maybe I'm over exaggerating that, but I bet nobody will get the good ending to the game with no prior knowledge to the game besides what Ardaceus has talked about this game.
Speaking of choices, battles in Wonder's War, is kinda like talking to someone, what you say, and what you do can impact it immensely, or you can do something very different that has the same outcome in the end.
You could devise a strategy when going into danger zones, devising what parties are good for what kinds of dungeons, and calculate how your stats can be boosted through magicks, and use the save system like a cheater to identify what actions will have the most effect against the enemies you will face in the future.
Or you can just be that one person and just breeze right through the game just going fast and not taking your time, kill everything in sight and just don't care, to which I'll be sure to give you a 'special reward'.
Or you can just not fight at all, and just bring all your enemies to dance parties. I would laugh sarcastically, but I'm being dead serious. You can bribe your opponents not to fight you, heal them, ask them what the time is, negotiate over tea, discuss the true meaning of life beyond 42, and whatever the heck you can think of.
There are certainly a lot of ways to play.
Questing is an option in the game. It is not necessary to beat the game, but it does unlock a lot of cool stuff. Such as it can lead on the path to areas you could miss or not even know exist, or find powerful weapons, items, entities, or side bosses. You don't know what you'll find from exploring into the unknown.
Though personally, questing is a tricky thing for me to make, so that you'll always know where to go. I came up with many ideas, but none seemed to work. I tried a script where it's like a journal, but it failed miserably. I tried a quest board, but it was as boring as watching paint dry. I tried a mailman, but he looked like a common person who would get confused with all the regular peop- Oh wait, what if I just put in a Mail Penguin named Bob to deliver mail to you?
So I implemented Bob the Mail Penguin. You can find Bob in every city and some checkpoint outposts. Just talk to him, and he'll always show you the most important parts of the story, and he will give you letters relating to side quests that you can keep in your own inventory. It took me a while honestly to come up with the system, but it ended up being like literally the moment when man figured out how to make fire for the first time. For me, it just opened up so much potential. But besides that, I want to go over one important aspect of the game.
Seriously, What is Wonder's War
Wonder's War is a game about hope for a better day, dreams to chase, life to live, living in the moment, good?, evil?, right and wrong? It's about discovering who you are, and not just the characters in the game, it's about just finding joy in things no matter how bad it may be, no matter what may be happening, it's about fighting wars, all of them. This game is realizing that life will always goes on, and no matter how bad things are, it will always be better, and you will change the world, and at least someone else's life. It's also reflective on the dark sides of the world, and that dark will always be there, no matter where you hide, no matter where you run, and that it's not scary to face, as it just wants to know what it is as well. This game is about killing, or not. This game is about emotions, to make you feel happy, angry, sad, relate-able, in love, despair, shock, scared, hopeful, and just having fun. I might have been sounding not serious when I was explaining things for this game, but really, I'm serious completely, all of that is in the game. I'm not making this game to be perfect and orderly, I'm not making this without detail, I'm spending all the time I can on this, I'm not making this for cash (Though really I am actually selling this game for 10-20$, probably $14.77 because I feel like it), and I am not making this to meet all expectations. I am making this game because it's fun for me, I want to test my own capabilities, and I'm making it to possibly just make a good experience for someone.

So I've been working a lot on Wonder's War from the last alpha... or demo... it is technically an alpha because it is early in development, and also that version had a lot of glitches that I had to fix 3 times. So sorry if something went wrong for you, I made a list of all the glitches, bugs, and things not so good about the game, and fixed them for next time around.
-The boss being too difficult, I nerfed him carefully.
