    Into the Darkness, now renamed to repercussions is a Unity game creation by Ethereal Digital.
    a game previously powered by RPG MAKER VX ACE. Returns in full form with the powerful Unity Engine.
    Repercussion is a Horror game written, directed and produced by Omars510 (Omar M.) This game will be PC Only.
    Development will start from scratch.

     

    But then a person named Ardaceus came along, and after being in no development for the longest time, had
    an entire reboot, rename, rebranding, and chews bubblegum while kicking ass. Then Zahraa came along and took
    her beauty kit and made all the maps look amazing.

     

    It went back to being powered by RPG MAKER VX ACE! And is having all the music, and character graphics being
    created from scratch. The old story was improved upon in a completely new way, to be the story about how
    just some average man one night, ended up making the worst decision of his life, to go and explore the
    old Empyr mansion deep in the forest, too which, people have gone missing, and the ones that have returned claim
    the place to be not haunted, and abandoned… so what really is going on at this place?

     

    Maybe there is something in there, for there is obviously more to the story of the place than first meets the eye.
    Maybe you'll be the one to put and end to the mystery of the place once and for all.
    Maybe you'll prove that this place isn't haunted, and that it's all one big hoax.
    Or maybe you'll just be another chapter for a story that is not your own.

     

    Release date: TBA.

    Hey All, Been quite some time since i wrote a new blog post here on gdu. It's great to see new changes on to the site and i am really digging GDU refinery design here.I will look more further on to the newly improved GDU with more detail in the near future. Anyhow, i have been working on a short game demo with a small team of very talented people. In which made this game possible in the first place. Filling the game with great ideas and concepts. Right now we are hard at work with a small demo we aim to release pretty soon and if time let's us reach our deadline. The Demo is pretty small but it has the main concept of our ideas.     Hello all,  That's correct, this project is now back in development after so much time on hold. Previously i wanted to work on this project and then jump to another as i was learning on how to make good games with new tools. Which actually took time away and gave in new ideas for other games i wanted to do.  Short story short; i had a lot of good times with a new job and now i have a bit of time to do game development.  Nementia is a Horror game same as Into the Darkness.     It's been a very long time since i posted something for Into the Darkness. Before i start this topic, i want to address that Into the Darkness was suppose to be the first chapter of my main series which is called repercussions. Into the Darkness was a prologue to the whole game. I soon realized that making one game then another huge package was pretty over-kill even for one developer. The project was too ambitious and i wanted to stuff a lot of ideas into one small package.   As in May 2015, the project was cancelled since RPG MAKER ACE was not providing any support anymore.     Studying the Game Industry.

    I've been studying the gaming industry and the consumer base.I'm quite surprise to see that people buy AAA games that now has presented new "next-gen" features. SO i took a hard look at my game and decided to re-work it into a more AAA game. CINEMATIC FRAME-RATEThe game will be ULTRA CINEMATIC meaning that it will run 14 frames per second. I'm quite surprised that Assassin's Creed: Unity sold millions of copies with this next gen feature. INCOMPLETE AND UNPOLISHED MAP DESIGNWith AAA games I've seen very unpolished map designs.     Information for Testers

    Hello again to a new Blog post.  Now, Halloween is around the corner and I am tweaking, polishing and 're-writing code/dialogue/maps for a good pre-alpha release.  If you are a tester of this page, you will need to read up the new information here.  First of all I want to say that the pre-alpha is still in an early stage of development and certain things may change. Second is that the game will be a 40 to an hour game experience. Thirdly the game will have small bits of story into the mix. But it will not be included into the game's pre-alpha so much. I am concentrating on some simple puzzles and other distractions.     Prepare for Pre-Alpha.

    Last time, I said that I lost my game from something stupid. I would have a stable and bugless game beta. But since this incident happened, I had to do the game from scratch. I really wanted everyone to play my game. Now I am seeing myself working on it again. I promised my partner that I'll have him play my game at the end of October, in which it's Halloween.  Why is this good you ask? People who are on the list of this game which are enlisted "Tester" will play the pre-Alpha this Halloween!  However the game is pre-Alpha and a lot of stuff like maps, events, and other stuff will change throughout development.  That's all for today!

    Game Project went "Into the darkness"

    I'm a bit pissed off today. I was working on my game normally, i was refining it a bit more on map decoration and lighting.Little did i know that my laptop's charger was not connected correctly, the plug came off!i didn't notice that the laptop had low battery the laptop was executing the RPG MAKER program.  My PC suddenly went off and i looked around it and saw my charger's plug was not in properly. So i turned on my PC normally and opened my project back up, i knew i saved my current progress because i play-test my game when i have something really doubtful or have something that i need to see. to my surprise i got this small error. Now i didn't know what happened and thought that it was a stupid error of the program.so i launched again.     Atmosphere polish

    Into the Darkness is being worked on currently. For the first chapter of this game i will add a huge amount of polish in to the atmosphere. I barely know what will happen here since the game can throw anything at me. With the R.O.S system in place i could easily pass through a hallway without having a scare, but that's my experience. Your experience will be much different however. I'm still in the development stage of this first so called chapter. I'm taking it slow and easy, thinking what to do next.Almost every object in the game is interactive.     Psychological Horror

    Another small update for the game in general. The first game chapter "Into the darkness" is being worked as a psychological horror chapter.  I have to say that I took time researching psychology because of my PTSD problem. So I got interested in human psychology and decided to look into it extensively. Rgangsta told me that people are scared of not knowing what's going to happen.  So I took some time researching on psychological horror games like Silent Hill. Of course the first two games are frightening, especially the newest Silent Hill game which is called P.T.  Since last year, I've been trying to replicate psychological scares but they were not successful since a lot of bugs appeared from doing so.     Link and Pieces – Prolouge.

    It was once said that a group of people opened the gateway of a different realm.  To open such realm. a ritual must be done to link these worlds. These Persons decided to negotiate with one of the beings of the realm and they create the portal inside an abandoned hut.  Once the ritual was done, the portal of the realm is open. And to enter the realm the individual must cross boarders meaning that, the individual must cross the boarder safely and without getting killed by the habitats of the realm.  The persons who created the portal for the two worlds failed to cross the boarder, they are betrayed by the individual they've dealt with.  Despite the individual's attempt to destroy the human world.     Hello once aagain, GDU. Long time since i've been here. Right now i am doing my own buisness and i am not able to developpe games at this time. i've been working on this game for months now and i can't seem to finish it.i've rrewritten the dialogue and script many times and i can't release such tiitle right now. As for the future of this game. I have already given the wholle conclusion to almost everyone. Bob and Drew(what's coming up on my head) knows about the epic conclusion of this game. ffor i'm sadden to leave this prooject.     Risk of making free games.

    After signing in a deal with Sun-Studios. The game designer Daniel Sun told me something important to me and all his fans. As you can see, Mr. Sun used to make free games and sponsors/advertisements gave him a decent amount of money.  However that Market moved on into the mobile market. He said to me   "Making money from web games involves adverts and sponsorship. This effectively means taking a big poo on my games with a thick consistency of advertisements and company branding. Sponsors would pay me for ad rights, and thus I was able to afford living on earth.   Anyway, that market decided to pay a heap less, effectively pushing me out of the ‘game’.
