Lighting System coming in 0.3!

Today I tried out Heretic's Dynamic Lighting script, and it works very well.

 

New changes relating to that coming in 0.3:
-Encounters will only show up at night, but they are very frequent
-Most stores are closed at night, but inns are open
-You can only sleep at night, but you sleep until the morning
-Player is lit up at night, but that may change
-Story advancement changes at night
-You *might* be able to find a clock item that allows you to see the time
-Party members *might* be able to use a skill that, when used on the map, brightens everything up for 5-10 seconds

 

Keep in mind, Kulgin Knights 0.3 hasn't been released yet, but it will be released soon.

  • Well that totally boosted my ego! I'm glad that all the work that I am still putting into the Dynamic Lighting Script has paid off, and hope that it improves the gameplay experience for those that just want to play the game when it is released.

    Dynamic Lights is currently in Public Beta and can be used for development purposes. 99.9% complete and legal restrictions are removed in the latest build. Previous versions were simply not stable enough and features needed to be changed so there were some restrictions.

    Im definitely looking forward to playing Kulgin Knights upon release!

  • Thanks! 🙂 But the full version of Kulgin Knights will be a long time from now (I'm not sure how long), this is only version 0.3.

    For a while, the day/night cycle wasn't working, but then I realized I forgot to turn on the switch!
