  1. Sure, no problem. Do you mean the full game or the short prologue I have right now?
  2. Yeah, I kept the volume low as I wanted the music to be mostly ambient. That, and the sound effects always seemed 'too loud' for me... but that isn't a problem now as the main game has Yanfly's options menu to control BGM etc. in game. And no I didn't create the graphics. They were resources gathered from like 2 or 3 different Japanese sites.
  3. Thank you. :) I'm working on the main game right now. I'm not sure how much 'in-continuity' that prologue will be but it's a good indicator of the final game. Hopefully I'll have a good demo of the main portion ready soon.
  4. Thanks! :) It's called Decrepit Progeny. The link provided at the Indie contest's site was temporary, but it's available here- http://www.rpgmmag.com/rmvault/rmvxa/games/221/decrepit-progeny It says 'demo' but it is still technically a full game as "Old Blood" is the prologue chapter. That page will also be one of the places the main game will be hosted (it will be listed there as Full Game - New Blood). Also, it really shows in that game that I was rushing it- kinda hard to follow storyline (which will most likely be retconned unfortunately) and a bloated DL size as I had to include RTP files as part of the contest. The main version will have any RTP files I used duplicated so I don't have to do that, but I didn't have time to do that during the contest. So a 220 mb download it is. :/ Just for posterity's sake, though, the original page at the contest site is here http://contest.rpgmakerweb.com/game/view/id/517#.VJrmeP8FABg
  5. Hello again everyone! I'm just popping in to say I'm still here. True, I don't post much, but I'm like that at every forum I visit. Lettin' you all know I didn't leave. :) Also right now I'm still working on the main game of the Indie contest entry from like half a year ago. I should make a topic about that later on.
  6. I don't know you, but welcome back anyway! :)
  7. I'm putting all the effort I can into each of the projects. :) And I will let you all know if I do any good in this contest.
  8. Hello. :) I'd like to make a request for two monster battlers. They are basic but I have had trouble finding them; specifically, they are two of the Four Horsemen, Conquest and Famine. I have had two others finished already, courtesy of a kind artist at deviantART. I posted a link to one below, but before we get to that I want to say this: he went WAAAY beyond the call of duty for me. I am NOT looking for anything this elaborate. "War" http://maclq.deviantart.com/art/War-357790938 See? Personally, I am needing only standard looking battlers. I am also using them for more than one project (though all in the same series). I will explain anything I need further: - The only requirement I have is that the background must be black for the battler (or easily convertible to black). - Conquest rides a white horse and is holding a bow, and Famine is one a black horse and is holding a set of old-style weighing scales (neither object is necessary- just a nice touch if included). - The horsemen shouldn't look human, but really, it doesn't matter. Also, the storyline of the game I'm developing has a universe that I describe as 'chaotic' so despite the artist's render above and the horsemen are a team, they don't need to be consistent. Artists can design them however they please. :) NOTE: The horsemen in my game aren't the real Four Horsemen (if there are any). They are simply demons who have discovered and learned about human religious mythology, and modeled their appearance after them. Would anyone care in completing these... or pointing me in the right direction where I could find some good pre-made battlers? Any help is appreciated- and if you need more info to make a decisioin, just let me know!
  9. Thanks, I'm sure I will enjoy my stay here. :) I'm sure it is okay to use. I had to ask because for this contest, the rules had stated that there was to be no assets from copyrighted content in any way. Some of the resources here had artists signatures on them, some were based on commercial projects like Sonic the Hedgehog, etc. It's fine for free, normal RPG Maker games, true, but some content creators would argue a contest with prize money counts as commercial. I had contacted the scripter at http://www.himeworks.com/ to use some of the scripts in my game for the contest. However, to use scripts in a commercial game, they require a license purchase, and I was informed that the contest is considered by him a commercial venture. If I was to use certain resources from this site, I wanted to avoid having any problems later. That one resource I linked specifically came from http://wallpaperswa.com/ which is 'free' wallpapers, it just means you could use them as wallpapers for free and that is all. Console makers ARE limited. It's why I'm moving onto VX Ace after I get the last project finished. :) Though, I have no trouble admitting that the console RPGM projects I have are mainly just for a select group of people to play. Personally, the only one I use is the one from the PlayStation One- a 14 year old RPGM software at this time. I'd have moved on to the PS2 versions, but I didn't care for them as much. RPGM3 was so limited in scope, I couldn't imagine a complete game being made with it. You know that 10 event limit in VX Ace Lite? That is standard in this game that I paid $60 for back in the day. :( RPGM2 was powerful, but I figured, if I was going to learn complex coding and work my butt off making something... then I will use a PC maker where people would actually play it. Heck, where people CAN play it. It's a pain in the rear getting PS2 game saves online. The software necessary had stopped production even back when the PS2 was the current system. Then PS3 did away with backwards compatibility, then PS2 classics on PS3 downloads used a completely different file system... then you have to go through a horrendous twelve step program to convert files to ones you want (PS2 virtual data to classics save file, etc.)... man, there is no feasible way to excuse the time spent trying to get PS2 RPGM saves online anymore. :( http://contest.rpgmakerweb.com/ Thank you! :) The contest ends June 29th, but... the goal is the make a 1 hour game. The judges have stated that they most likely won't play over that, with the exception of one who may if he likes the game enough. There is still time to make something in VX Ace or so if you are interested? Actually, you can use any engine to make a game, but with the time left it might be a little difficult getting any game finished- even an hour game- unless it has a streamlined process like Ace does. So anyway, my projects under development are two (well, technically three, but the third isn't started yet) for VX Ace. One is the contest entry, and the other is a sequel to my PS1 RPGM game. There is a third project, but it is the aforementioned PS1 RPGM game. It is a sequel to this game here: As you can see by the video, RPG Maker games on the PS1 are extremely limited. No wonder I'm moving onto VX Ace. :) And yes, these guys doing the Let's Play will be doing one for mine when it is 100% finished. It is pretty much just them that are the target audience for my game. I hope to change that with Survival 3 for VX Ace though. More than 2 people might actually have the capability to play them! :P
  10. I'm MRevelle83, and while technically I have been part of this site for a few months, it wasn't until now that I actually had the time to get a good look at it. I like this place. :) I've been an active user of RPG Maker for years- right now I am focused on VX Ace, though I've used the console RPG Makers (still do, in fact) for the longest time. I'm usually at the site RPG Maker Magazine, though it looks like I'll be here too. --- Oh, and I might as well ask. I've noticed some of the resources here are from other sites? There is a contest that I am entering right now, and one of the rules is no copyrighted material. I was eyeing this titile screen- http://www.gdunlimited.net/resources/image/5287/skeletons-artwork-2126x1336-wallpaper_wwwwallpaperwacom_42jpg ... and didn't know if that counted? I see the artist's signature on it and didn't know whether it being posted here meant it was a royalty free thing or not? Or is there something I'm missing? Newbie and all. :)
