  2. Awesome. Always wanted you to remake The Collector. Although it's a prototype, do really want it to become a full game in the future.
  3. Hello again, It's been a while since the last update. The new project i am developing with a good friend is now taking it's form. We are testing the game mecanics to later implement them to our future game levels. The game still needs more work and revisions on how it will perform as the gameplay will be the most important thing in this new game project. I have been known as a person who is more about story than anything else. For this game it's mostly an after-thought and is not very important. As i have learned from playing many games, many game stories now rely on character interaction and cinematic cutscenes to tell the story of the game. After doing a lot of research myself, games often don't use theming and enviornmental story-telling. Games now-a-days lack symbolism in the main story - which leads in to something very cliché in my opinion. I'm not saying that using character interaction won't be in the game, but that will be very limited in this game as it the game's world is the whole story after-all. So far the game is not even fully playable, which means that nothing huge has been worked on yet. There's no levels created but the test levels we created to test out functionality. Project Tobias is the name that is a teaster of what's to come. More details of gameplay and story in the future. All i can say right now is that the game will be something very cool and enjoyable. Something that will mark our first step as developers.
  4. It has been forever since I posted something here on the forums. Reason for this major absence is that I landed a job as an IT guy. And I had to go through a very long learning period. But after hardwork and dedication, I managed to change my schedule leaving me to have a good amount of free time. Anyway introductions aside. With my free time I managed to experiment with a set of new engines to try out and also see what I could work with. Unity was supposed to be my go to engine as it is more easier to use. But something had changed my mind to use a similar and familiar engine. The game project is now in development. Very early stage, barely playable. The engine is RPG Maker VX ACE. Though it was going to be a Unity game I quickly saw the lack of creativity on something 3D. I won't say much of this project and I won't say what genre it is or what it is based. All I can say is that it is a collaboration with a person I am good friends with. Project with details will release through time, no ETA. A very ambitious project, especially with new opportunities and resources. Looking forward in revealing the project along with my new partner in crime.

  7. Particle effects are possible is possible. I don't know how possible with RPG MAKER MV. CyberDrive had particle effects and it was an RPG MAKER VX game. I wish i could show you the full game though.
  8. It needs some foliage details. I know it's not possible with the current tile-set but can you do something to make it a bit better? it looks a bit dead without these small details. Add NPCs or add some cloud shadows (Like in RPG MAKER XP) hell even some particle effects in the background. Maybe some fire or something. The important part is to make it alive and great.
  9. Actually looks very decent. But the details such as foliage. I like that attention you gave to the town. A sense of height i must say.

  11. I've been awake for 48 (Probably even more) hours once. I couldn't sleep because i had to care for a relative in the hospital. It was the longest 48 hours of my life. I couldn't sleep because the couch was too uncomfortable. Trying to nap was hard for some reason. When i finally got home I slept for 12 hours but i felt that i wanted to sleep more. You know you haven't slept well when you're getting hallucinations? Yeah i started hallucinating food and sun-light.
  12. I have to say $80 for an engine... Still not worth it. There's engine that offer more than this. Unity and Unreal 4 are free for everyone to use.
