My top 5 favorite anime's

Recommended Posts

Greetings GDU Community, long time no see, ( won't lie i miss typing in rmxpunlimited.net)

I've decided I will semi return but also share my top 5 favorite anime show's. I'm hoping to either introduce you to new anime's you've never seen before or possibly even have you introduce me to anime show's that you've grown to love and believe I would be interested in.I will include links as to where you can read a small description of it or even watch it.

Well I guess i better start my list.

#5 Eureka 7

I guarantee if Joey see's this he will through a huge fit, but still lol this show is only number 5 because of the terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE, ending it had. Not to mention the somewhat boring episodes. But overall I enjoyed this show almost as much as the rest.

http://www.animeget.com/eureka-7-eureka-seven-anime

#4 Death Note-

This show caught my attention with it's twisted plot, extremely interesting characters, and a show actually based around a evil ( Or atleast not right in the head) protagonist.

The reason why it is so high on my list is there were a lot of episodes I found out right boring, and the terrible ending ( atleast imo)

http://www.animeget....eath-note-anime

#3 Inuyasha

One of The first anime show's i actually started watching, I actually used to have dreams of being in this world how much of an impact this show had on my childhood. Slaying demons... Collecting the shards... you know XD..

http://www.animeget.com/inuyasha-anime

#2 Naruto-Naruto Shippuden

I LOVE ninja shows, but fillers just killed this one... And how the movies are basically unimportant to the story, it irritates me >_>

http://www.animeget.com/naruto-anime

#1 Another

I almost made this one number 2 and naruto number one... But.. just the damn story was to damn good and the chills I received after certain events... Just wow... this show had so many unexpected turns in such a short amount of time, you always wondered... who's next? I challenge you to try to solve the mystery of the show..

This show definitely deserves another season and a bigger fan base. Give it a try... Trust me, it's worth it.

http://www.animeget....her-anime-anime

and on my last note before i eagerly await responses. Ge sure to comment and even share your own favorite list, I'm interested ^_^.

On a random note, I just moved to Portland. And i hate the rain.

*edit* forgot Eureka 7 link and put inuyashas link in wrong spot *edit*

My list has only one anime in it repeated 5 times:

1)Fairy Tail

2)Fairy Tail

3)Fairy Tail

4)Fairy Tail

5)Fairy Tail

Though If we were talking Manga instead my list would be much different seeing as how many anime kill the story. So here is my Manga list:

1)Mahou Sensei Negima

the story takes awhile to take off but is awesome after it gets going (do not watch the anime it doesn't follow the story at all)

2)Psyren

I'm not sure why I got into this so much but the story really dragged me in

3)Fairy Tail

Obvious reasons as to why, I got into the anime and had to read the manga

4)Bleach

I didn't care for the anime as much but the manga made up for it

5) ?????????

I don't really have a 5th as pretty much anything I've read could fit in this spot

I'm kinda with Rage on this, I don't watch enough anime to have a top five. I do read a lot of manga though :)

1. Breaker and Breaker: New Waves (just go read it. There is no anime of it, and it probably will never have one.)

2. Psyren (This one really dragged me in, I feel like it ended too soon, but also felt like it ended at the right time.)

3. Bloody Monday (It's pretty much Deathnote for hackers :D)

4. Kuroko no Basket

5. Baby Step

Smh, this gaust is resurrecting an old topic again. For non-valuable GDU points.

10. Attack on Titan (Very interesting concepts, very dramatic, and 100% pure badass grade awesome, not higher due to sad feelz)

9. Inyuasha (Very few people don't like Inyuasha, I don't put it higher due to repetitive goals in the series)

8. Fairy Tail (It has good comedy, great action, but it takes so long for someone to go down in this series, that it drags across 3 episodes like...)

7. Spice and Wolf (Rather Relaxing, it's just normal feel for it)

6. Lucky Star (Meant for comedy purposes, and reminds me of my life right now)

5. Astro Boy (LET'S ROCKET!!! Omg such awesome)

4. Ouran High School Host Club (Had a great plot, great characters, great atmosphere, and that ending...)

3. Fruits Basket (I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry!!! I had to put it at three for being awesome all the way through)

2. Sword Art Online (I'm a video game fan, it's only natural)

1. Kaichou Wa Maid Sama (This is a piece of art, with the way it goes around telling the story while making everything funny and romantic)

Ardaceus = Small Otaku, due to me not knowing many animes, I have tried to like others like Bleach and Naruto, but I just don't like them. Well there are some others I like, but these are the best in my opinion, and nobody else will agree with me. Ardi out.

Never knew this topic existed until 5 minutes ago.
(from 1 being best, to 10 being awesome)

1. Angel Beats- This anime completed my whole life. I could rewatch it any time of the day. Btw theres a spin off or something called Charlotte! Im pumped.

2. Clannad/Clannad After Story- God damnit i dont know how to express how much of a great anime this is! WATCH IT! you will probably cry! Wish i could put it higher

3. Deathnote-  Awesome. If you're looking to cry youve certainly found the right anime! So many feels. So many.

4. Tokyo Ghoul- This is an awesome anime, I cant wait for season 3!

5. Toradora- If you doods didnt know, i like slice of life with romance, Idk why but i do. And this one just about completes my life too. Ill rewatch this one soon :)

6. The Pet Girl of Sakurasou- This is another great anime! Its romance I guess, and idk what to say about it. Just overall a great anime!

7. Sword Art Online- At first when i heard about this anime i was like "pfft its shit" and now im like "pfft its kinda shit" because of the changes in plot :) half of first season was awesome though :D

8. Death Parade- This is a relatively new anime, and its awesome! Its sad and thrilling. Wish there were more episodes though!

9. Deadman Wonderland- This anime is awesome, its thrilling and very interesting! A bit short, I just wish they showed more of the prison and its events.

10. High-school Of The Dead- Awesome thrilling anime, and i think the only zombie one, good one anyways. Its quite the harem too. Overall i love its animations

Of course there are lots of great animes out there, theres a few more i would have liked to add like Daily Lifes of Highschool boys but meh. It was prettttty difficult deciding the anime that would come after Angel Beats! And as always, I recommend all these animes to watch :) I like all these animes btw so its not really a best to worst thing :) YOU HAVE TO WATCH ANGEL BEATS!

I don't watch much anime and the ones I've seen, everyone's seen.

I don't like anime that...

1. Are too weird (even funny weird sometimes)

2. Have tons of fanservice

3. Have lots of romance

4. Take place in a world full of women who all like 1 guy (harem anime are just the creator living out a fantasy through his protagonist...)

That being said...I've only watched and finished 8. Any others I've watched were usually just because someone else in the room was watching them and I only saw a few episodes.

If I leave out DBZ and Yu Yu Hakusho, seeing as I mainly like those for the nostalgia factor, that just leaves these 6...does this even count lol. Am I allowed to be here? Anywho...

In order from "BEST THING EVER" to "Was Okay"...

1. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - This is literally my favorite tv series. Like...not just anime, but tv series in general. Best. Ever. Holy crap.

2. Attack on Titan - Arda said it pretty well...although I think this says it best:

First part of episode 1: Alright, let's see what everyone's so excited about...I guess this is pretty good.

Second part: Damn...

Rest of the series: Damn...

Halfway through: WHY CAN'T I STOP WATCHING!?

End of what's out so far: HOLY CRAP WHY IS IT NOT DONE YET!? I NEED MORE!

3. Fullmetal Alchemist - The far INferior original anime. Brotherhood is a remake and follows the manga much more closely. It was created for the same reason DBZ has tons of filler: The manga wasn't getting done fast enough for the anime to keep up.

While this is really freaking good, it's not nearly as good as Brotherhood and the story is hard to follow. The ending is kinda meh and I didn't know about the movie until I was finished with Brotherhood, so I never saw the real ending.

It's the first show, movie, game, or book that wasn't about a dog that made me shed even a single tear...but it almost happened a second time when I watched that funeral again in Brotherhood. "Why are they burying Daddy? He has a lot of work to do and he can't do it if they bury him! DADDY!" T.T

4. Dragon Ball - This is on the list and not Z because I actually watched the whole thing and enjoyed it, while I kinda grew up with DBZ and like it mainly because of nostalgia.

5. Trigun - This isn't higher, partly because, I later found out and kinda figured that, important parts of the manga were left out of it. It's just...kinda fun I guess lol.

6. Sword Art Online - Everything above this is a lot better. SAO was mostly just disappointing. I started watching it after being told it was amazing and started to believe it after the first episode. (which is literally the best one)

...It all went downhill from there. This includes some of the things I hate to see in anime (and anything really): Weird, out of place, fanservice and a harem.

Every single girl in the world likes Kazuto...even his freaking cousin. It's weird.

It has a stupid ending that lasted like 11 episodes, all of which ruined Asuna as a character, making her a "damsel in distress" rather than a badass and the only character I actually liked...at first...the first part slowly ruined her too.

The actual SAO part ended too soon and seemed like it was rushed...

Episode 4 shows that the creator is a pedophile...

But other than that I enjoyed it. I wouldn't recommend it though and won't be watching SAO 2.

Edit: Crap, I forgot about G Gundam...oh well, not sure I'd put it on the list anyway. If you like Dragon Ball and Gundam and don't mind that it's a lot different from the other Gundam series', then it's okay lol.

1, 2, 3, 4, and 5: The Familiar of Zero - This is the only anime i really got into(its REALLY hard to find good anime for me). Its got lots of comedy, romance and all around silliness with not much fighting. The story was great and left you wondering what is going to happen next after every episode. It was done so well that you couldn't even guess what was going to happen next and what you hoped would happen didn't happen lol.

Sadly the last season was kind of rushed because the creator died before he could finish the manga that the anime was based off of. At least they ended the anime with a perfect and sad ending. If you are waiting for the manga to end before watching the anime don't because you will be waiting the rest of your life.

The whole anime is 10% fighting 15% seriousness the rest is comedy and romance. Just how i like it, more comedy and romance than anything else. IDK what its called but nearly every girl falls in love with the main character and the person he loves always abuses him because he looks at other girls(most of the time unwillingly lol).

Oh right what is it about lol. Its about a guy from Japan being summoned as a familiar to a completely different world. The familiars job is to protect the master. Yea im bad at explaining things but trust me its good.

I mentioned that in my post. The "everyone's in love with the main character" part is a harem...and it's stupid lol.

@Bob Lmao Welcome to Sword Art Online. Where i actually been cynical about the first half and then the the second half of it. I did like SAO2 first season but it kind of lost it's true meaning.

Lets see.

My favorite animes are

1. Bleach

2. Dragon Ball Z

3. Yu Yu Hakusho

4. Inuyasha

5. Sailor Moon

6. Cowboy Bebop

7. SNAFU (My Teen romantic comedy)

8. Ghost in the Shell

I have more but i can't remember really lol.

Sword Art Online would be on my list, but i've become very cynical about it over these past months now. I just don't enjoy it for some reason. I sound like a hypocrite mostly because i have a SAO character as my avatar, but like bob said...FAN SERVICE LOL!

I'll list the anime that I remember with the most nostalgia... they're not necessarily good. But just the ones that at the time gave me the best memories.

1. Bleach

2. Death Note

3. Hikaru no Go

4. Mushishi

5. Corpse Party: Tortured Souls

Corpse Party is extremely low on the list thanks to having bad pacing. :P But for a good portion of those days I was obsessed with the games, so it gets a place just for that. Mushishi and Hikaru no Go tied, but I put HnG first because it was, well, my first. ;)

I really liked Death Note, but Bleach I was in love with for the longest time of all these.

If you can get through the painful fillers. I heard there's a year worth of fillers. Many people said that the Anime died off for way to many fillers.

I'd like to add to my list of anime. No clue where it would go in a ranked list, but my brother recently got me to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion.

It is so messed up...

You know when you see something and it's just so weird and ridiculous that you love it?

Evangelion is kind of like that, but by the end of the movie (which is a conclusion to the anime) I was still wondering why I watched it, but I was somehow glad I did.

Congratulations :D

Apparently if you analyze the religious references, it makes even less sense than it did before.

I'd give it a WTF out of 10. Which is NOT a bad rating btw.

Yeah, sadly I didn't know what filler was before watching Bleach... I went through the whole Bount filler season (the very first filler one) without knowing it had absolutely nothing to do with the plot. I kept expecting them to somehow be tied to Aizen or something.

Needless to say, when the filler season ended and nothing came of it, I felt kind of betrayed. :P

I heard about that. I was recommended it :> I still need to find time to watch it but my interest is piqued.

Can't be any more screwed up than that one anime video Me!Me!Me!... please don't watch that.

I'm honestly not sure which is weirder. Me!Me!Me! has a lot of really weird stuff in a much shorter amount of time. Evangelion has a few episodes and a movie of messed up stuff, but there's an actual plot.

Not all 26 episodes are super weird, but it gets really weird FAST around episode... 18 I think it was. Ep. 26 feels like someone was pulling a joke on you and it's not really the ending...and then there's the movie, which clears things up, but still leaves you thinking:
