Just thought I would see what every one has been up to these days and let you all know whats going on in my life as I have been absent for a little while.

I've been pretty busy with my family, now I have 2 kids (boy 2 1/2 years old and a girl 9 months old). We moved into a new house a few months ago, and I finished my training at work am an now working solo installing peoples internet, cable and phones.

What little free time I have i've spent working on my first full novel. It's nearly finished the first draft with over 70k words or about 130 pages in word (about 160 pages in normal novel sizes). I'm pretty excited as this project completes it's first phase.

It's also been a heck take Christmas. With family and parties and other events I'd had even less time than normal.

Now for the future. I hope to get more training at work, and finish writing then start editing my book. I also have a small project to build a remote controlled airship modeled after the Falcon in FFVI i'd like to start. That's all aside from the house maintenance I need to do to keep our home in shape lol and shovelling snow.....so much snow!

Anyway, thats me. Whats up with the rest of you guys?

Thanks for the update Dolar, always nice to hear what old members are getting up to after all of these years. I'm in a similar but not-so-similar position as you, with life things taking over and really scavenging to find free time with work and family commitments. Although I don't have kids so I can't imagine how busy you are :P I moved cities about 9 months ago to take up an opportunity in one of the smaller cities here. I was at a crossroads back then, because all through uni I had been working towards two very district career paths, IT stuff and law (I have degrees on both) but right now I'm practicing law as a commercial solicitor. The city I moved to is famous for outdoors and we've been doing a lot of trekking, mountain biking, adventure stuff, etc. It's been a great change for us. I'm still not sure where I'll end up - Software calls for me, and people in my country usually spend time working overseas.

I've also somehow found motivation to work on GDU. I have no idea where it comes from and why it peaks and falls. The new design and software upgrade is gona reaaaally impress you guys :)

Had a crappy 2016. 2017 is better for me by far.

Just got a new laptop, installed all my programs on it, and the quality is so amazing!

Been working on Wonder's War and Nementia, so much time I've spent into these things with all the soundtracks and graphics.

Just got an email from the university I applied to, I got in, and with the program I selected.

Moving into a new house, and there is a perfect room in the basement for me to set up a nice office-like room.

Also got a drawing tablet, been making really good looking graphics with it.

The only thing that's bad that's going on is this massive migraine I have right now. I've been just laying in bed staring at a virtual aquarium because I don't know what I'm doing right now. It's taken me about 4 hours to write this...

I love to see that. Im a big FF3/6 fan. I know how it is with snow...... getting like 3 feet overnight and -20f temps sometimes.

I haven't been doing much lately besides working and working when i get home xd. I have been slowly making RPG voxel assets in Qubicle with the help of bob for Unity.

@Marked - cool stuff can't wait to see the finished product :) I saw your example and I'm sure it'll be impressive.

@Ardaceus - sorry that your 2016 sucked, keep positive and I'm sure 2017 will be a great year for you. Good luck at Uni too.

@Polraudio - I'll definatly show you guys pictures of the airship. I'll be taking pictures of my progress too and keep you guys up to date.

I love voxel graphics, wouldn't mind seeing what you've made :)

@Ryan Ferris - Good job, it can be really hard to finish a project like that, good luck with the final stretch
