Anti-social and introvert are two different things lol. I bet you're just an introvert like the rest of us. :P

A tour? Hm...how would someone tour a website from across the internet? I say just explore and post if you have a question lol. You'll learn where everything is you're active enough

Learning time!

Anti-Social: contrary to the laws and customs of society; devoid of or antagonistic to sociable instincts or practices

An anti-social person probably doesn't empathize with people as much as they should and are just a little...odd and are usually terrible people. Sociopaths are anti-social. There is another definition, but I think it's a newer one, which confuses it with asocial.

Asocial: Avoiding social interaction; inconsiderate of or hostile to others.

From what I can tell, mild asociality can be a trait of an introvert, but the two are still different things.

Basically means "not social." These people can be assholes, but aren't going to burn your house down and think it was an okay thing to do.

Introvert: a shy, reticent person.

These people are happy being alone for longer than others. Social interaction drains their energy quickly and they usually only have a few good friends and don't seek out many new ones. Nothing wrong with this :D

Extrovert: Literally just the opposite of introvert. Can be mildly annoying to introverts lol (personal experience, living with my mom)

Erm, Bob... only problem with your point is that having one of those traits in the first place tends to lead to the development of the others as well. So it's quite usual to find all those traits in the same person anyway, if not absolutely accurate.

Anyway, Zeph. Just what brings you here?

If you are just looking for a place to crash you can hang out at the chat. There is usually someone manning the place. :u

And if not, there are always the random discussion section on the forum. Off Topic

If you are feeling artsy there's the Creativity and Design section.

"Community Projects" is where you can find a project to join, or to look for people to join your games. Or to browse through the new games, being developed. Or to showcase your own.

Although, it's worth mentioning we have the special Games section on the site. We are supposed to use that instead.

"Game Development" is the place for game development... Why does this thing exist?

We have the Resources section on the site for your resource needs. That's where you go to leech on our collection of available content.

The "Engines" forum section is where you go to beg for custom scripts for your games... and get ignored by our lazy good for nothing veterans...

The site has a Tutorial section, and so does the engines forum. That's where you go if you want to actually learn how to make games, instead of shelling out crap.

And the "Main Center", is the place nobody cares about. :u

That's where "the government" keeps us updated when they fuck up. Like that time Mark allowed GDU to get hacked. Right Mark? x)

All in all, you should feel at home, here. It's a quiet... and desolate, place. And we have so few active and productive members, that every new face is important. :u

Hmm... That's a good question, where ARE the rules?

In any case, there are just the usual rules. Be nice to people, don't spam, etc.

And we aren't very strict around here, so you have nothing to worry about, unless you do something really bad.

The points aren't particularly relevant. They are just an arbitrary way to determine how active you are in the community.

Thanks salty, you're right. I should clarify that being anti-social does not mean you're a terrible person. Some people can even be just mildly anti-social and still be normal. These are not binary definitions (on/off, are/are not), you can be any combination of these to any degree and there are people who are even full on sociopaths that aren't serial killers. Those are just the only ones in the news.

Anywho, about the rules...we don't have official rules. The "rules" we have are unspoken, logical rules that everyone should follow anywhere on the internet and, like salty said, we're not strict here at all. Unless you're a witch. We don't like witches. *ignores Hermione avatar* jk obviously

^_^" I don't even use my FaceBook.

After all, knowing someone, and knowing "facts" about someone, isn't the same thing.

The whole point is getting to know a person-- personally. Shocker, rite?

You still haven't told us, just what do you plan to do now that you are here?

The first rule of GDU is that you don't talk about GDU.

Uhhh this raises a good point. GDU is overly complex. Since XP we've been stacking engines and expanding sections into all these categories. I should simplify things

I guess that's why nobody knows about us. :u

You may be right. time to change the slogan to "The first rule of GDU is to spread the word of GDU!"

Welcome to the forums Zepth Ayvuir, I'm not on as much as I used to be but if you need help with one of the engines just ask and we'll try and solve your problem :)

The irony with that is, in Fight Club, the intention was for people to break that rule.
